One of a kind (OOAK) dolls, and dolls who have twin sisters or brothers, all have personality whether made in porcelain or modelling clay or some other material.

Discover the secret personality of these dolls . . .

I wonder if dolls have personality. I think they do! Each one is presented in a character that both adults and children are able to recognise as a person in miniature, whether it represents an imaginary figure from a nursery rhyme such as Little Bo Peep, or a real-life personality such as Princess Diana. Perhaps the doll represents an historical figure such as King Charles II or George Washington, or perhaps he or she is simply the creation of the artist, offering a glimpse of the past or another part of the world. The doll may be beautiful or not so pretty, but . . . does it matter? Beauty is, after all, in the eye of the beholder, and the doll's personality may shine through, no matter what he or she looks like!

Either way, each one displays his or her own personality, if we only have eyes to see it. Their personality springs from . . . where? Do we impart our own feelings into our dolls so that they become an extension of ourselves, or does the doll grow from its small beginnings into its own personality?

In this site, you will be the judge.
